Curvilinear Collection by Lauren Strong-Perrin

Hey ya'll

It's been too long, but I've been preparing my collection and now you get to see it! I'm proud that I have achieved this much in a short year and hope that everyone else enjoys it as much as I do!

My models are : Ellie Strong-Perrin (my sister) and Ellie B.

My inspiration for this collection was architecture. In my opinion it isn't very obvious. However it will become more obvious as I explain. My coat is my signature piece. The coat is actually created using curved seams which creates a bubble type shape. The curves also accentuate the womanly figure. I started to look at architecture that was created using curves, hence why my collection is called Curvilinear (consisting of or bounded by curved lines). I then went on to look at reflection as the surfaces of many buildings are created using glass and metal which has a reflection. This is how I developed my printed garment. It represents tiles, spectrums and glass. My inspiration for this print came from a piece of holographic fabric.

Topshop Paisley Trousers

Hey Guys!

Hope you're well! I just wanted to post about my love for these Topshop Paisley trousers! Not something I would usually go for but I am really in love with them! I love the pale coral/peachy pink colour contrasted with the blue on a beautifully detailed paisley print! I think they are just to die for! Personally I would pair them with with a white tee and a pair of heels! Focus on the print people!!

London Fashion Weekend - Louise Gray

Hey ya'll

Sorry for the lack of blogging, been real busy! Just wanted to tell you about my experience at London Fashion Weekend, which obviously isn't as amazing as the fashion week itself, but was still pretty cool. I was fortunate enough to take a look at Louise Gray's SS13 collection, which was so totally inspiring!

First check out the goody bag, unusual, but hey! Can't say no to a free goody bag !

Inside my goody bag was some Velvet tissues (always come in handy), Jergens Ultra Healing Body Moisturiser, Label.M Blow Out Spray, Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion, Colgate Max White One Toothpaste (everyone wants a Hollywood smile!), a plaster and a copy of March 2013 Elle Magazine - Victoria Beckham feature. As I said a little strange but can't say no girls !

As I am fortunate enough to be a Vodafone customer, I received a free limited edition Vodafone red Nails Inc Polish ;) 

Louise Gray's SS13 Collection

What can I say? I absolutely loved Louise's collection for SS! The use of colours, prints and embellishments just shocked me! Definitely teaches you to be bold, bright and beautiful, and if it clashes? Who gives a shit! You go rock that look !! Louise gave a little chat before the show started and said how she loves to wear clothing that clashes, it doesn't matter as long as you are confident wearing it. Fashion changes all the time so rather than following the trends that are always around, use those trends to create your own fashion. You own your show! Definitely a very down to earth designer which is what makes her such a lovely person! 
My favourite outfit from the collection is the metallic gold and black tee and trousers! It SCREAMS BOLD. Its a very street style outfit and the pieces don't even need to be worn together if you don't feel that confident wearing them! However, be daring! You'll get recognised more!

Lift Your Mood

It's raining, it's pouring. Same old story here in England. The depressing weather brings out depressing moods and miserable colours. So to lift my mood I thought I would paint my nails in Spring/Summer colours to make me feel better! Nothing better than a bit of beauty therapy every now and again! 

I used a Lilac and Aqua Blue colour to get things going a bit !

Similar to my previous post about the affirmation bracelets, I am so in love with the Moschino belt! I became interested in it through my style idol Miley Cyrus who has been rocking the belt with so many different outfits. Doesn't she always look good?

BCBGeneration Affirmation Bracelets

I AM IN LOVE.

I have been wanting these bracelets for FOREVER. My sister recently went to New York and was going to get me some but unfortunately she didn't have time (definitely an excuse to not pay for them). They are actually really cheap, i thought they would be a lot more than $18! Definitely a bargain! We need a store in England! Topshop - Colourful New Arrivals!

So this morning just completing my daily obsession of checking the new arrivals on the Topshop website and I came across a few brightly coloured bags. Usually I stick to a certain type of bag (black, studded, quilted) but as it is coming up to Spring, I thought that these bags would be a great way to add a colourful accessory to my wardrobe. 
They are fairly simply shaped but the colour attracts all the attention! 
My favourite is the Pushlock Crossbody Bag - in Green, Pink & Orange!

Kenzo Paris

Anyone crazed about these Kenzo Paris Tiger sweaters?
I think they are so cool and the perfect edge to any outfit! Such a lovely shade of green and a bold print, perfect with a pair of denim hot-pants or style it up with a pencil skirt. The sweater is also available in other shades! My other favourite is Grey!

Holographic... A Jonathan Saunders Take

I don't know about you guys but I am really digging the holographic trend. Jonathan Saunders Spring/Summer 2013 collection is my new inspiration for using holographic material. Perfect for touching up a daytime outfit ready to party hard! Think of yourself as a walking spectrum, everytime the light catches you there is a different colour to your clothing. Just like magic! It works really well with the shapes of the garments and has also been the inspiration for my current collection that I am producing! Be extravagant! Add a touch of holographic material to a pocket? Sleeve? Use it as an accessory? 

Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will look amazing !
